How does a limpet lock
work?
The limpet shown above is in the locked position.
The barrel has a key inserted to unlock and is pulled back 30mm
to unlock. To lock the limpet simply press the end of the barrel.
Why fit A Limpet Type
Lock?
When vehicles are left over
night or in areas that high crime is an issue the Limpet Lock offers
security as well as a high visual deterent. With anti pick cylinders
as standard, Ball bearing inserts to prevent drilling and internal
fixing plates the Garrison Limpet Really is the most secure lock
of this type.
What makes the Limpet
type Lock effective?
The Limpet type lock is designed
to resist attack. The shape alone deflects the attack from a hammer.
The cylinder is flush fitting to prevent snapping and with 6/8 bolts
for through fixing were sure it will hang on like a limpet should!
Anti drill pins, Ball bearings and hardened inserts prevent most
types of attack. Rear door Limpets have an interlocking body to
prevent pulling apart the sections. Side door bodies are chamfered
to allow close fitting and ease of fitting.
What about Colour?
The Lock is available in a
single colour black finish. It has been designed to look nice and
work well and it does just that. Other colours may be supplied,

What about the fitting
and installation?
The Limpet lock is straight forward to fit
as a DIY Self Install. Complete with all fixtures, fittings. Garrison
Locks offer nationwide installation on all products if required.
