Most commercial van owners
realise the risk of theft or attempted forced entry to vans. The
Mercedes Sprinter Vito LDV Crafter and Volkswagen LT35 are high
risk vehicles due to poor lock security and ease of access via existing
door locks By simply spiking beside the handle. It is far too easy
to access the vehicle unlawfully. This in indeed still the case
with the new shape mercedes sprinter and LDV crafter. Under live
test with a fleet manager of over 1000 vans it took just 34 seconds
to open the van. Front or rear doors are the most vunerable.
What we will do for you
!
We offer a complete or part security solution for
your vans. We suggest the use of armaplates to cover over door lock
handles, even if no key hole is present and the installation of
Deadlocks Limpet locks or slam locks to side and rear doors to give
extra protection from forced entry by thieves. As one of the UK's
leading Armaplate resellers we offer huge discounts and great value
for money and thats a promise !
What does
the Armaplate provide ?
This solution will give you full peace of mind by not only knowing
your vehicle is secure but in both respects of visually and physically.
Installing Armaplates will deter the attack and save you time and
money. In basic terms the Armaplates provide a triple barrier of
steel between the theif and the vunerable lock mechanism. Thus making
it virtually impossible to spike open or lever out the door lock,
so By fitting an Armaplate you really are securing the van from
attack.
Can i just secure the
rear section ?
Providing you donot have central locking It is possible to
secure just the rear section of the vehicle and leave the front
with standard locks. This is not ideal but will still give a reasonable
level of security and anything of anyitems of real value can be
kept in the rear section of the vehicle.
Would deadlocks or slamlocks
be better ?
Fitting deadlocks or slamlocks are a good physical and visual
deterent. Armaplate work well with deadlocks on vans because they
work independently from each other. As far as slamlocks go, the
Garrison Slamlock will take place of the existing lock operation
but fitting Armaplates will of course prevent unneccesary damage
to the handle area by theives who dont know any different, ie: opportunist..
